Silom Village

  • Hotel 2

Silom Village is a commercial operation, but has become a major hit with visitors because of its cultural offerings. The Silom Village compound comprises 15 teak buildings of such historical value that they are under a conservation order. The houses were converted into a restaurant and Thai handicraft shop at the beginning of the 80s and since then Silom Village has become a centre of authentic Thai classical dance. They do put some effort into being authentic – authentic costumes, music, etc. The effort pays off; Silom Village is packed with tourists and locals most evenings. You can of course purchase authentic trinkets as presents at the handicraft shop.

How to get there: The nearest MRT station is Silom and from there you’ll probably need to hop into a taxi.

The nearest BTS is Chong Nonsi.

Given the traffic in the area, the bus is not advised.
