Worship Of The Buddha’s Footprint, Khao Khitchakut District
January 22 , 2023 - March 23 , 2023
Every year, one of the Buddhist pilgrimages is to conquer Mount Khitchakut, which is 1,050 meters above sea level and is only open once a year. Over the two months of opening, hundreds of thousands of worshippers come to the top of this mountain to pay homage to the footprint of the Buddha and tie red cloth, which was originally a symbol of the dangers of the area. The heart of the visit, seeing the footprint of the Buddha, is a great charity and comparable to attending the prophet. Each year, hundreds of thousands of Buddhists pour a tremendous amount of faith into the Buddha’s footprint.
