 Venue: River Kwai Village Hotel Kanchanaburi The Kanchanaburi River Kwai International Half Marathon is one of the most eagerly awaited sports events in Asia’s running calendar and is now in Now in its 36th year. Professional and amateur runners join the fun every year as everyone enjoys the route. It is considered one of the scenic in Thailand with all the amazing sights and temples alongside the Kwai River. During 2017 the marathon is open to 4,000 runners who can compete in the 36 kilometre ‘Ultra Half Marathon’, the 21 km ‘Half Marathon’ or the 10 km ‘Mini Marathon’. Thai Marathons are increasingly attractive to international runners because of the stunning settings featured around the kingdom, not mention challenging hills and climbs along route. The River Kwai International Half Marathon costs 800 Baht to join the Ultra Half Marathon and the Half Marathon and 500 Baht for the Mini Marathon. The entrance fee includes event shirt and buffet breakfast on race day. Medals and trophies will also be awarded to the first five finishers in each age group.
