THAICONIC Loy Krathong Festival at ICONSIAM

Join ICONSIAM’s spectacular Loy Krathong Festival on 15 November 2024, featuring traditional performances, a beauty pageant, krathong exhibitions, and eco-friendly celebrations, all in honor of Thailand's cultural heritage.

ICONSIAM invites everyone to celebrate the Loy Krathong Festival under the theme "The Flowing Legacy of Thai Spirit," a tribute to Thailand's rich cultural heritage. The event aims to promote Thailand as a Global Cultural Influence, offering a variety of exciting highlights:

• Traditional Thai performances showcasing the beauty of local arts.
• The 2024 Nang Noppamas Beauty Pageant.
• Mini-concerts by famous Thai artists.
• The “Five Unique Krathong Traditions” exhibition, displaying various styles of krathongs from around Thailand, including:
  • Yi Peng Lanterns from Chiang Mai
  • Coconut Shell Krathong from Tak
  • Sukhothai's Fire and Lantern Festival
  • Large Floating Lanterns from Roi Et
  • Banana Trunk Krathongs from Samut Songkhram

The event also features an international krathong exhibition, co-organized with 15 embassies and 4 universities, as well as a retro-style market in Sooksiam offering local delicacies and traditional goods.

ICONSIAM will ensure a safe and enjoyable experience by providing floating lanes for krathong and promoting eco-friendly krathongs made from banana leaves and trunks. The event will also include a post-festival river cleanup to responsibly manage the collected krathongs.
