Tak’s Loi Krathong Sai Festival

Tak’s Loi Krathong Sai Festival (15-18 November 2024) offers an enchanting experience with royal lantern processions, boat parades, fireworks, and 1,000 floating lanterns, alongside cultural performances and local markets.

From 15-18 November 2024, the Loi Krathong Sai Lai Prathip 1000 Lanterns Festival will be held at the 200th Anniversary Rattanakosin Memorial Bridge in Tak, along the scenic Ping River. The festival will showcase a royal lantern procession, traditional boat parades, and grand fireworks displays. Visitors can also witness the breathtaking sight of 1,000 floating lanterns illuminating the river each night, along with nightly almsgiving ceremonies.

Other highlights include lively cover dance performances, string music contests, the “Rising Star Luk Thung” folk music competition, and a variety of local markets, food stalls, and traditional krathong-making crafts.
