Rap Bua Festival 2025 – Lotus Receiving Festival

🌸✨ The Rap Bua Festival 2025 takes place 30 September – 8 October at Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai, Samut Prakan, featuring alms giving, boat processions, races, decorated boat contests, and the sacred lotus offering to Luang Pho To on Khlong Samrong.

The Rap Bua Festival, or Lotus Receiving Festival, is a centuries-old tradition celebrated exclusively in Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan, during the end of Buddhist Lent. This cherished cultural heritage represents the purity of faith, with the most iconic moment being the offering of lotus flowers to the revered Luang Pho To Buddha image as it glides along Khlong Samrong.

• Sunday, 5 October

  • 07:00 AM – Lotus throwing ceremony in homage to Luang Pho To

• Tuesday, 7 October – End of Buddhist Lent

• Wednesday, 8 October – Tak Bat Devo (alms offering ceremony following Buddhist Lent)
