🎭 Festival Schedule
🔸 June 28 – Sacred Ceremonies Begin

Phrit Phra Uppakut Ceremony: A Brahmin ritual to invite Phra Uppakut, a revered monk spirit.

Procession to the Mun River: Retrieval and installation of the Phra Uppakut image at Wat Phonchai.

Ceremonial gunfire: Shot in all four directions to mark the spiritual invocation.

Bai Sri Su Khwan: A traditional blessing for local deities Chao Phor Kwan and Chao Mae Nang Thiam.
🔸 June 29 – The Iconic Phitakhon Ghost Parade

Vessandorn Spirit Welcoming: Bringing the spirit of Prince Vessandorn into the city.

Phitakhon Ghost Procession: Colorful masked figures parade through town, led by Chao Phor Kwan.

Temple Rituals: Procession circles Wat Phonchai three times, firecrackers lit to call for rain.

Mask Casting Ceremony: Small and large Phitakhon masks are symbolically floated in the Mun River.
🔸 June 30 – Spiritual Closure

Kae Kan Lon Ceremony: A day of merit-making and listening to Dharma sermons.
(No ghost mask activities on this day.)
