Pattaya is preparing to welcome the Pattaya International Film Festival 2026, the fourth edition of the city’s international film event, taking place from August 22–30, 2026.
Held under the theme “THE CINEMATIC WAVE” 🌊🎞️, the festival aims to celebrate cinema while promoting Pattaya as an international destination for film, creative industries, culture, and tourism.
🎞️ Free Film Screenings for Nine Days
From August 22–30, visitors can enjoy free film screenings throughout the nine-day festival at SFX Cinema Pattaya, Terminal 21 Pattaya. 🍿🎬
The screenings will provide audiences with an opportunity to experience a diverse selection of films while celebrating international and local cinematic creativity.
🌟 Red Carpet and Awards Ceremony
On August 28, the festival will officially open with an Opening Ceremony, followed by a glamorous Red Carpet event and Awards Ceremony 🏆✨ at Colosseum Cabaret Show Pattaya.
The evening will bring together filmmakers, industry professionals, artists, and guests to celebrate achievements in the world of cinema.
🏖️ Movies by the Sea and Creative Market
From August 28–30, the festival will move outdoors with open-air film screenings and a creative market 🛍️🎬 at Pattaya Beach, allowing visitors to enjoy movies in a relaxed seaside atmosphere.
The combination of cinema, creative activities, and the beach setting is designed to create a memorable experience for both local residents and visitors to Pattaya.
🎬 Behind-the-Scenes Film Production Showcase
On August 29, visitors can explore the Behind The Scenes Film Production Showcase 🎥🎞️ near the Miniature Eiffel Tower.
The activity will provide a closer look at the filmmaking process and give audiences an opportunity to discover what happens behind the camera.
🎤 Film Talks with Leading Directors
On August 29–30, the festival will host discussions with renowned film directors under the theme “Telling Powerful Stories Through the Language of Cinema.” 🎭🎥
The sessions will take place at the Fountain Plaza, Royal Garden Plaza Pattaya, providing film enthusiasts with an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and explore the creative techniques behind compelling storytelling.
