Food & Hotel Thailand 2010

Food & Hotel Thailand 2010 offers an all-in-one networking opportunity for those involved in food, drink and hospitality industries within Thailand and across the region.

Active players at the forefront of the food, drink and hospitality industries are ready to dazzle and entice their prospective buyers and partners at Food & Hotel Thailand 2010 at Royal Paragon Hall from 15 to 18 September this year.

This highly acclaimed exhibition, organised by leading exhibition organiser Bangkok Exhibition Services Ltd. (BES) and supported by several government organizations and professional associations, will showcase a comprehensive range of local and international products and services in four major industry categories on a space of 12,000 square metres. These include Food & Beverage, Restaurant/Hotel Equipment & Supplies, Hospitality Interior & Supplies, and Hospitality & Retail Technology.

Specialised sections devoted to Halal Food and other fastest-growing parts of the Thai food and hospitality scene will also be added.

“This year’s fair is co-located with Hospitality & Retail Technology Asia 2010 that gives interested visitors the chance to see what’s new in the food industry and hotel business, ranging from point of sales systems, loyalty management software, in-room entertainment and reservations technology to electronic retail, data collection, cash handling systems and in-store display equipment. The inclusion of this is a huge bonus for us, and promises to be of immense interest and of great value to visitors," BES Managing Director David Aitken says.

To reinforce its status as Asia's 5-star hospitality event, FHT 2010 will feature a full programme of industry conferences, seminars and regional competitions.

Mr Aitken adds, “FHT is thrilled to have the Hotel Congress by the Thai Hotels Association on board as part of our significant knowledge sharing scheme, together with the Restaurant Seminar the by the Thai Restaurant Association and the Retail Conference by the Thai Retailer Association. The 16th Thailand’s International Culinary Cup by the Thai Chef's Association is promising to create an exciting and fun show that is set to tantalize the taste buds.”

To enhance visitors’ experience, FHT 2010 also encompasses a Wine Competition & Seminar, Ice Carving Competition, Fruit and Vegetable Carving Competition, Bed Making Competition, Flower Arrangement Competition, Free Style Fusion Cooking Contest, Free Style Pastry Showpiece Display, Asian Dessert Display Cuisine of the World Cooking Contest and the Recycle Fashion Show.

The 18th edition of FHT is deemed to draw more than 25,000 trade visitors from over 50 countries, especially those from the ASEAN region. These are expected to comprise of professionals from airlines, bakeries, canning and bottling centers, caterers, department stores, distributors, restaurants and fast food outlets, hotels, grocery stores and retailers, wholesalers, supermarkets, importers, trade Associations and government bodies, among others.

Currently confirmed is an official participation by over 750 companies and brands from around the world, including Nestle, US Poultry, California Wine, Ocean Glass, Royal Porcelain, Bon Café' Coffee, Electrolux, BVZ Fabrics, Micros Fidelio, Chubb, HIS Softbrand.
