The Christmas Star Parade Festival 2025 returns to celebrate the rich cultural identity of the Tha Rae Catholic community. Each year, the entire neighborhood is transformed with dazzling multicolored lights to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ and the stories of Christmas.
⭐ A Tradition Rooted in Faith
The Star Parade began in 1982 when Catholic residents of Tha Rae crafted paper stars symbolizing the Star of Bethlehem and carried them around the community before gathering at St. Michael the Archangel Cathedral. What started as a small local tradition has grown into one of Sakon Nakhon’s most iconic cultural festivals, attracting visitors from across Thailand.
