 The 27th annual "Bor Sang Umbrella and Sankampaeng Handicraft Festival" in Chiang Mai. With traditional umbrellas display from 18 country around the world the event is schedule from 15-17 Jan, 2010. Bor Sang village is located at Samkampaeng district Chiang Mai province. In order to foster tourism and support local handicraft like production of umbrellas made from Saa paper derived from mulberry tree bark, carved wooden fans, silverware and lacquer ware, Thai hand-woven fabrics and products that made from local knowledge of ancestors' Sankampaeng local. The festival will be packed with loads of activities, especially with a grand opening ceremony on January 15, 2010.
