 The annual Amazing Surin Elephant Round-Up returns once again this year with the objective of helping to promote tourism and preserve the local way of life of a profound bond among people and elephants in the world’s biggest domestic elephant village. This year marks the 59th staging of the Amazing Surin Elephant Round-Up, taking place from 7-18 November 2019, at four locations across Surin. Highlights include: 14 November 2019: 08.45 Hrs.: The ‘Surin Elephant Round-Up’ show rehearsal at Surin Elephant Show Stadium. Free entry. 18.30 Hrs.: The contest for parade of decorated floats with food for the elephants at Phraya Surin Pakdi Monument. 15 November 2019: 08.00 Hrs.: Welcome & Elephant Feeding Party at Phraya Surin Pakdi Monument. The event is by far the world’s largest elephant feeding event, with food spreading over 400 metres for more than 250 elephants. 15-16 November 2019: Prasat Sikhoraphum ‘Light & Sound’ at Sikhoraphum Castle.
