Amazing Music Festival Over The Horizon

August 30 , 2024 - September 1 , 2024

The event from 30 August to 1 September 2024, featuring internationally known artists, heralds a series of arts and music events ahead of Thailand’s Music Festival Year 2025.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is gearing up to host the "Amazing Music Festival: Over the Horizon" in Pattaya from August 30 to September 1, 2024. This event marks the beginning of a series of arts and music events leading up to Thailand's Music Festival Year 2025.

Dr. Phonpoom Vipattipumiprates, Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports, expressed that the festival serves as a perfect prelude to the preparations for the music festival year in 2025. “This initiative symbolizes our invitation to tourists to partake in grand celebrations of music, art, and culture in Thailand. It aligns with the government’s ‘Ignite Thailand’s Tourism’ policy, which aims to enhance tourism through major events,” he stated.

Scheduled at Central Pattaya Beach in Chon Buri, the festival will feature an exciting lineup of both Thai and international artists. Headliners include Daou Pittaya, Nene Pornnappan, and YinWar, well-known in China, alongside prominent Thai artists such as The Toys, Atom, No One Else, Season Five, Mos & Bank, TwoPee, Violette Wautier, bamm, and MEAN. The festival promises a blend of genres from popular music to R&B and Hip Hop.

Mr. Apichai Chatchalermkit, TAT Deputy Governor of Tourism Products and Business, highlighted that the festival is one of six major events planned by TAT for the remainder of the year. “By hosting a variety of special events and festivals in key and secondary cities, we aim to make 2024 a standout year for tourism in Thailand. Music festivals play a crucial role in our strategy to promote year-round tourism,” he explained.

TAT’s music festivals are designed to attract quality tourists with interests in music, food, art, sports, and culture, thus leveraging Thailand’s soft power. This approach reflects the government’s “five must do in Thailand” initiative, which includes Must Taste (Thai food), Must Try (Muay Thai), Must Buy (Thai fashion and local products), Must Seek (new destinations and travel experiences), and Must See (Thai festivals).

Pattaya, known for its stunning skyline and diverse tourist offerings, has been chosen as the venue for the festival. It is a destination that many tourists aspire to visit at least once. In the 2024 Golden Beach Awards, Pattaya was ranked 12th among the 100 Best Beaches in the World.
