4th Asian Beach Games 2014

 Asian Beach Games is a multi-sport event held every two years by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The first Asian Beach Game took place in Bali, Indonesia, in 2008, the second one was in Muscat, Oman and the third one in Haiyang, People's Republic of China. The 4th Asian Beach Games takes place in Phuket, Thailand from November 14 - 23, 2014. 23 sports are presented in the games including air sports, aquatics, beach handball, beach volleyball, beach woodball, body building, sailing, muaythai and beach kurash, beach wrestling, beach kabaddi, beach basketball, beach petanque, beach sepaktakraw, footvolley, jet ski, triathlon, water ski, beach soccer, flag football, extreme sport, sports climbing, modern pentathlon and beach track & field. Patong and Karon beaches, in the west coast of Phuket, are the main competition venues. Visitors could enjoy watching a variety of sports while at the same time relaxing among the beautiful beaches and sceneries of Phuket Island. Other than annual international sport events like triathlon, marathon, fishing and golf, Phuket also earns more reputation from the host of the 4th Asian Beach Games which makes Phuket as a leading sport tourism destination in Asia.
