The Londoner Brew Pub is probably the only microbrewery in Bangkok that doesn't brew German beers. A British pub and restaurant, the Londoner produces excellent English beers, particularly the 'Londoner Mild', which is as good as it gets anywhere in the world. A big city pub, this place is very spacious early evening, but you'll be surprised just how crowded it can get, especially if there is an event on! A very firm favourite with football fans, the Londoner is especially good fun during the World Cup. There are a number of booths around the walls of the pub where people eat and there's fairly extensive seating for diners - if you aren't eating it can get a bit difficult to find somewhere to sit (or even stand) when it gets busy. The food ranges from a spicy Thai menu through to more traditional Western pub food, including great burgers, kebabs and even Yorkshire Pudding!
Buy one draught beer (including Carlsberg and Heineken) on Wednesdays and get one free - avoid it if there is a public holiday on Thursday! General knowledge quizzes are held weekly. Situated under the UBC1 Building on the corner of Sukhumvit 33, the nearest BTS is Phrom Phong.
