Chateau de Loei Vineyard is situated on the Phu Rua Highland. The vineyard produces the oldest wine of Thailand, with over a thousand rai of growing areas for fresh and wine-making grapes. Probably not what you expected to do in northeastern Thailand, but a trip to the Chateau de Loei Vineyard makes it a nice change. This vineyard grows grapes to produce a leading domestic wine. Visitors are taken on a tour of the vineyard. The visit is well worth the effort!
Details: Visitors must obtain a pass to tour the vineyard. This is available at the Chateau de Loei shop near the vineyard entrance. Open everyday from 08.00 a.m. - 07.00 p.m.

How to get there: From Loei, take the Loei-Phu Rua-Dan Sai road to the vineyard. It’s about 65 kilometers.
