AB Normal 2005 - Win Free Tickets!

One of the hottest bands on the Thai music scene at the moment, AB Normal kick off their latest concert at 20:00 on 28 May 2005. Consistently in the Thai Top 10, the band are involved in a solid round of concerts at the moment and their live act features songs from their ‘Fast Lane’ album (‘Dek Kwa’, ‘Leaw Ngai, ‘Jai Noi’, ‘Unseen’). If you are new to Thai bands, it’s worth checking out a few while you are in the country - very much akin to

British alternative music, you will be surprised at how good bands like AB Normal are.

The concert takes place at ‘The Club’ on Khao San Road in Bangkok – a massive venue perfect for this type of event. Buddy Village Group, owners of The Club and a number of other establishments in the area (Suzie Pub, Austin Pub, Buddy Lodge Hotel, etc.) have given 5 tickets to give away as prizes to visitors who can answer these simple questions:

1. What are the Thai names of the two Pandas at Chiang Mai Zoo?
2. How big is Sri Satchanalai National Park in Sukothai?
3. When was Bangkok’s Grand Palace built?
4. When did Bangkok’s The National Gallery open?
5. Koh Yawabon is a diving and snorkelling site in Krabi.
What is it famous for?

Answers to these questions can be found on! Send answers by email to with 'AB Normal' in the subject line. Deadline 27 May 2005.

If you want more information about the concert call 0-2629-2255. Tickets are 100 Baht each and available in advance from The Club. You will also be able to buy tickets on the night.
