Although Trang is famous for its beautiful islands and beaches, it has an abundance of waterfalls; some of the best you might see. Namtok Lam Plok is a great example. A large 6-tiered waterfall, Namtok Lam Plok offers a vantage point to see local islands and the River Palian. Such is the force of the waterfall here that the waterfall has a hydroelectric generating capacity feeding the Khlong Lam Plok Hydroelectric Project. A great place for a bit of a trek, a picnic, and somewhere to rest and take in the beauty of the area.
How to get there:
If you are in your own vehicle take the Trang-Phatthalung Highway until you come to kilometre 17. Turn right onto the Ban Ka Chong-Ban Hat Lao Highway and go straight on for around 25 kilometres. Then turn left towards the waterfall. However, organized tours are available from Trang municipality as are songtaews that go directly to the site.
