Zoos and Animal Parks in Thailand

Thailand's zoos and animal parks are fun places to be - as well as animals most have some sort of 'theme park' attached to them, even if it's just a small one.

Must see

At Thailand's zoos and animal parks kids can enjoy rides and watch animal shows, even take rides on camels and elephants. Dusit Zoo in Bangkok is a great example of Thailand's traditional zoos. This zoo has a good selection of animals to view alongside a choice of restaurants and shady places where picnics and relaxation can take place. Over recent years Thailand has become quite famous for some of its captive wildlife - Chiang Mai Zoo, for example, is one of the few places outside China that you can see fully grown pandas. Thailand also has a number of wildlife parks designed to protect animals in their natural environs. Khao Chong Wildlife and Nature Education Centre in Trang is one such example. If you are a family of animal lovers, Thailand is a great place to visit.
