Thai Traditional Ways of Life in Chiang Rai

The hill tribes of northern Thailand are certainly communities that have resisted change and Chiang Mai's tribes are no exception.

Lisu, Akha, Hmong, I-Ko and Muser are among the traditional tribes that live in Chiang Rai's hills and mountains and visitors are able to make trips to their communities to observe their ways of life and to purchase their handicrafts. A visit to Chiang Rai really should include an investigation into the traditional ways of life available in the area.
