Care For Cancer Charity Fun Run 2016

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, in association with the Thai Red Cross Society and with the support of the Canadian Embassy, is once again organising the annual ‘Care for Cancer’ charity fun run at Lumpini Park, to be held on 6 February, this year.

Under the theme “I care b’coz….”, this charitable event allows supporter and participants to share and express how cancer touches our lives in different ways. The proceed this year will be donated to the ‘Genetic Cancer Research Center’ at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital under the auspices of The Thai Red Cross Society.

Beginning and ending inside the Lumpini Park, the Run will include the 5km and 10km routes. Registration is from 7.30 – 8.15 hrs. and the official starting time is at 8:30 hrs. The largest participating group will be awarded with a Queen’s trophy. The first male and female runners who reach the finishing line of the 5km and 10km will also win a prize, the youngest runner whose effort to join will be recognised.

Runners, joggers and health enthusiasts of all ages are invited to participate in the run with a minimum donation of 350 Baht representing the cost of an official ‘Care for Cancer’ t-shirt. At 500 Baht, the registration includes a polo shirt, a breakfast box and the chance to win prizes, such as, accommodation vouchers at various Anantara Hotels & Resorts.

In conjunction with the fun run in order to raise more funds for cancer research, two other events will be organised at the hotel: a Canadian Culture & Gourmet Dinner featuring dishes prepared by  renowned Canadian chef, Cameron Stauch, and paired with select wines on 27 January from 19.00 hrs; and the 9th Clutter Sale, a one-day event with treasure trove bargains on 13 March, from 10.00 – 17.00 hrs.
