The 42nd Miss Thailand competition takes place Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September 2006 with 18 of Thailand’s fairest maidens vying for the coveted crown at the Alangkarn National Theatre in Pattaya, Chonburi.
Under the patronage of the Royal Project for the protection of Women in association with the Thailand Authority of Travel and Tourism, Pattaya City, Thailand’s independent television channel ITV and Wachirawoot University, the event will be broadcast nationwide and the winner decided by votes cast by a TV audience.
The eighteen finalists will be taken to key tourist attractions in and around Pattaya (Nongnooch Tropical Garden, the Million Years Stone Park and Pattaya Crocodile Farm to name a few) to promote the city. The year’s winner will receive 1 million Baht and a luxury car along and other prizes submitted by event sponsors. |
