American “Nu-metal” band Linkin Park are coming to Bangkok this Sunday - November 11, 2007. This is the second time the band has been to the Kingdom, the first in 2004 when they played to around 30,000 people. Like then, the band will be performing at Aktiv Square, Impact Arena, in Muang Thong Thani (about 45 minutes north of Bangkok).
This year’s event promises to be an even bigger and bolder affair. To make sure the music is exactly as the fans like it, the band will use their own state-of-the-art equipment (flown in from the USA) to blast out numbers from multi-Grammy award winning albums like Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, Meteora, and their current offering, Minutes to Midnight.
This is a world-famous band at the height of their career – the real deal. The gate opens at 16.00 and local multinational band Futon (with members from the UK, Japan and Thailand) kick off proceedings at 17.00. Other local heroes Slot Machine and Ebola play until 21.15 when Linkin Park hit the stage. If you are into this band and you are in Thailand, all the planets align for a great night! |
