Chiang Mai’s favourite British-theme pub/restaurant has managed a genuine British feel. The Red Lion English Pub and Restaurant has an outdoors area looking out onto the Night Bazaar. This provides a nice alternative to the air-conditioned interior if you are interested in people watching. A good crowd of locals mix well with tourists and visitors. The Red Lion offers great British food at reasonable prices. Satellite TV offers live sporting events and regular BBC NEWS updates. The bar is stocked with a good range of local and foreign beers as well as spirits and cocktails. A good choice for an evening’s entertainment. If you can't find it, it's near McDonalds.

You have never had fish and chips until you have had them in Chiang Mai! The genuine article - the Fish & Chip Shop offers Britain’s favourite takeaway dishes right in the heart of a paradise setting! More British food is available on the second floor including Ploughman’s lunches and a range of salads and sandwiches made to order. Fish and chips cost 90-115 Baht and you can get a local beer from 50 Baht a bottle. A good breakfast is available daily for a reasonable 70 Baht.
