The British pub tradition is recognised the world over and in virtually every major city in the world there is now a British ‘local’. In exporting the British tradition they have also exported British cuisine. Often mocked, British food is not full of sauces and spices. It offers the best ingredients cooked and served fresh to offer the best taste possible. Fish and Chips, Steak and Kidney Pie, Roast Beef – they are now firm favourites in the most unlikely of places, as are British beers. They are all favourites in Thailand, too, and some of the British-theme outlets here are amongst the biggest restaurants and bars in the kingdom. |
