This annual event is for a good cause but nonetheless prompts a level of bewilderment amongst those witnessing it. On Saturday 8th October 2005 grown people brave the streets of Bangkok to push beds around in the name of charity. Recognised by the Guinness Book of Recors as being the "Bed Push with highest number of beds".
50 bed teams will be in competition from 16:00. There will be a party for everyone involved from 18:30 at the British Club, Surawong Road , Bangkok 10500 . The event raises money for the Thai Red Cross "Caring Hearts for AIDS Foundation" and this year's target is to raise 2 million baht and beyond. The competition takes the following route: From BNH Hospital through Convent Road , Sathon Road , Lumpini Park , Silom Road , Narathiwat Junction, Surawong Road and finally arriving at the British Club. Well worth a visit if you are in town.
