Palaces in Bangkok

Bangkok has been the capital of Thailand for centuries and has a large number of royal palaces for visitors to take in.
Although there are numerous palaces in Bangkok, the most important one is the Grand Palace - a site that has become an icon for the capital. Visiting the Grand Palace in Bangkok is as important as visiting Tower Bridge in London or visiting the Eiffel Tower in Paris. However, the Grand Palace is one of a number of palaces in the capital and sites like Vimanmek Palace (or Vimanmek Mansion) rank among the more important. If you are in Bangkok, make sure you experience the grandeur and splendor of at least one royal palace!
