Zoos and Animal Parks in Thailand

Thailand’s zoos and animal parks are fun places to be – as well as animals most have some sort of ‘theme park’ attached to them, even if it’s just a small one.

Must seeWorth seeing

At Thailand’s zoos and animal parks kids can enjoy rides and watch animal shows, even take rides on camels and elephants. Dusit Zoo in Bangkok is a great example of Thailand’s traditional zoos. This zoo has a good selection of animals to view alongside a choice of restaurants and shady places where picnics and relaxation can take place. Over recent years Thailand has become quite famous for some of its captive wildlife – Chiang Mai Zoo, for example, is one of the few places outside China that you can see fully grown pandas. Thailand also has a number of wildlife parks designed to protect animals in their natural environs. Khao Chong Wildlife and Nature Education Centre in Trang is one such example. If you are a family of animal lovers, Thailand is a great place to visit.
