Chiang Rai is Thailand’s most northerly province and another of Thailand’s mountainous regions.
At an average of 580 metres above sea level, Chiang Rai province offers some excellent mountains and hills with superb scenery that includes views of mist and fog during winter months. Doi Tung, Doi Mae Salong Mountain and Doi Hua Mae Kham are areas worthy of note.
