In Chiang Mai some people’s lifestyles haven’t changed for generations…
Although a modern country there are numerous places in Thailand where ways of life have not changed for centuries. One such place is Chiang Mai. Despite the advent of tourism in this area, the hill tribes of Chiang Mai have tried to resist the infringement of the modern world and managed to maintain ways of life enjoyed by their forefathers. If you have an anthropological bent, the hill tribes of Chiang Mai are certainly places you should visit.
