The Chao Sam Phraya National Museum features Thai Fine Arts and Handicraft from the Ayutthaya era. A number of antique Buddha images are on display alongside local relics, carved wooden panels, Thai Buddhist Sculpture and other items from local temples. A good place to visit for those with an interest in the area’s history, but probably best combined with a visit elsewhere if you have enough time.
Details: The museum opens daily except Monday, Tuesday and national holidays from 09.00 to 16.00. The admission fee is 10 Baht.
How to get there: The museum is opposite the Thailand Tourism Authority and Rajabhat Institute near the intersection of Rotchana Road and Si Sanphet Road. A Tuk-Tuk fare from the centre of two will cost around 30 Baht.
